Several years ago, Social Distortion released a terrific album in “White Light, White Heat, White Trash”. There were many heartfelt and honest thoughts in the music, and songwriter Mike Ness was seen as a guiding light. Fate would deal them a tragic blow after Mike released a solo album. Guitarist, and long-time mate of Mike's, Dennis Danell died in 2000. Now, the band has returned to the music spotlight with this fine new album. The record again displays Ness's honesty, this time in a lighter and optimistic manner. It's as if Mike Ness has forgiven himself for the past and constructed sweet melodies with his gifted voice. It's great to hear their music again and they should no longer be under-rated. You'll be inspired by this journey.
