I hate it when a band releases a “best of” while still together. Gripe aside, this ‘Greatest Hits’ by Spiderbait makes for some mighty fine memories. Starting with new single, ‘On My Way’ (which invariably sounds like an old fave), before moving back through some 21 killer tunes ranging from: ‘Black Betty’, ‘F**ken’ Awesome‘, 'Four On The Floor’, ‘Outta My Head’, ‘Shazam’, ‘Stevie’, ‘Buy Me A Pony’, ‘Calypso’, ‘Joyce's Hut’, ‘Sam Gribbles’, ‘Run’, ‘Old Man Sam’ and even ‘Footy’! It's like taking a time machine and slowly moving back through the years (1991-2005 to be exact). Unlike some greatest hits, there's a thorough booklet accompanying this excellent package with pics, lyrics and the trio's thoughts of each song. Also included is a 26-track DVD. Long live the 'bait!
