Stiffler [presumably named after the anti-PC character in American Pie] hail from Wollongong University in New South Wales. Self described as Porn Punk Rockers the CD sleeve photo comes complete with black nail polish, blow up doll, and a loving nod to their influences: Green Day, Good Charlotte with a dash of Seminal west Coast USA punk band The Circle Jerks.

The music from this straight ahead five piece is melodic, fun and at times good natured and humorous. With song titles such as “DVD Porn” and a well-earned reputation for having a blast on stage one can only imagine the live gigs are where these boys like to be. Stiffler have gigged together for over two years, paying their dues and sweating it out at pubs, clubs and skate parks up and down the East Coast of Australia.

If a good time, catchy slice of punk porn is what you crave, then check the opening the track BBS Sounding every but as good as their aforementioned influences, its great to see a local act going after what they want to do. Think Boys being boys and don’t think Radiohead’s latest avant-garde affair and you’ll get the Stiffler message.
