:: Stimulator - Stimulator 2

Stimulator

Californian band Stimulator impressed with their first album a few years ago. A few issues to deal with and now a settled existence sees lead singer/songwriter Susan Hyatt and her bandmates celebrate a cool, catchy set of tracks in their overdue second album. Susan has a sexy, relaxed voice which adds to the holiday feel that the tracks bring. In fact, the first track is titled “Holiday” and it sets a pattern for the pop vibe and fine musicianship displayed. The album creates that fun factor and the songs are infectious in what to like during the summer, in particular. Having had much experience in bands, running an indie record label, and self-marketing, Susan puts it to the people again in looking for support. I had the opportunity to meet Susan on her recent Australian visit and she lives for the love of music and getting her craft out there passionately. Her love for classic rock/pop shines through in our discussion, and it is evident in many of these songs, yet she puts her own stamp on them. There is even a cover of “Love Will Keep Us Together”, the old Captain & Tennille favourite. The album generally should be well suited to commerical support and for lovers of classy pop music.
