Fans of System Of A Down may find ‘Lonely Day’ rather subdued. The band still manages to express its strong viewpoints which is what identifies it particularly. Their lyrics are honest & they never seem to suppress any emotional stance on a subject. Without the dramatic guitar and heavy drum beats you start to wonder if System Of A Down has slowly lost its edge. Other songs on the EP do have a more rocky alternative tone. ‘Shame’ featuring Wu-Tang Clan is a mix of different genres of music combining hip hop and alternative.
