The Almaboobies

The wonders of technology allow the exposure of music to a wider world. One of the treats in discovering artists through this means is that you can be lucky enough to discover a band like The Almaboobies. They are a three-piece female group from England who, judging from their activity on the Internet, come across as very hard-working and talented musicians. Comprising sisters Victoria (vocals, guitar), Elizabeth (bass, vocals) and Alexandra (drums), the threesome display sheer power and enthusiasm. The band sent me their CD “Welcome” in the middle of last year and, for a first time listen of the band, it sounded very good because of their virtuosity and firepower. Then, late last year, I was sent a re-recorded version because the girls thought it wasn't up to their expectations. Such is their meticulous nature; and something I commend them for. When listening to The Almaboobies, you can sense their passion for rock music. This EP is a strong collection that will please their fans and I urge anyone to have a listen to how the band works well together and deliver their hard-hitting brand of rock. Watch for them around England as they soon start a month-long tour in January 2008.
