The Follow

The band showed a leaning towards 1980s sounds and a quirky sense of humour when I first heard the Sydneysiders a few years ago. The trend continues now as their development rises well. This set of five tracks was produced by the acclaimed Nick Launay (new version from last year), so they've been able to bring in big players. The charisma is there and the impact is evident by their good international support slots (Sonic Youth and others) around Australia. They have a good infectious retro style and should find its way into a much loved marketplace where the 80s music revival keeps on keeping on.
