Melbourne band The Gingers comprise three young female rockers and they show terrific potential as a punk-pop band. They have already seen their fan base grow substantially through their lively performances and this EP packs a solid punch. Most of the songs contained here are ones I've seen them perform live and they have appealed to their crowds glowingly. The determined edge of the girls is a breath of fresh air and they have a charismatic look, led by lead singer Chelsea Wheatley. There's lots of fun in what they're doing and they are worth supporting. Note that there is also a 12" version of the EP - a cool treat for Gingers fans and vinyl lovers.
