:: The Mint Chicks - Crazy Yes! Dumb No!

The Mint Chicks

Welcome the weird, wonderful and wacky. This album’s got it all! Very unusual and at times monotonous, this compilation from the Mint Chicks, along with the obscure album art, is rather difficult to define. It takes a while for the good beats to peak through the clouds of often repetitive and uninspiring tunes but then, herald songs ‘Real Friends’, ‘Sleeping During the Day’ and ‘100 Minutes of Silence’, for their imaginative sounds. It isn’t in any way a thrilling album, it just varies and that at least deserves credit. While the first few songs seem to follow on from one another without much change, as the album progresses the beats come alive, the music morphs and explores different areas. All in all, great for fans, but if you are not familiar with this band, you are unlikely to appreciate their music.
