:: Various Artists - Triple J Home & HosedVarious ArtistsThis Triple J album, Home and Hosed, offers a patriotic homage to some of the talented Aussie bands of recent times. There’s heaps of alternative music and bit of rock. At times, Home and Hosed can be pretty chilled, other times it is woken by some Aussie hip hop beats like Bliss N Eso. Dreamers will like SubAudible Hum’s “Sugar Coat,” which is trippy; the intro is something else, gravely and gradually do they sing a startling introduction which warms up to a rock song. The song “Where Do We Go” by Merle Morris is deep. Sometimes the album is slower with almost acoustic beats like the slow and frigid ones “Paper Aeroplane” by Angus & Julia Stone.” Errol J.M has a nice country twang with “Zeros and Ones”. There’s a tiny bit of mainstream house - Mark Dynamic and Jaytech featuring Andy Love “Identity Me” but its just the vocal mix, no techno base included. Other acts include The Fumes, Young and Restless, The Audreys, and Resurrectors. | ![]() |
