A worthy follow-up to the previous year’s compilation. Australians love nothing better than to remember their favourite music of the past and there is great value in a double album of tracks that range as far back as 1969 (Russell Morris – The Real Thing making an appearance here). Disc 1 highlights include ‘Howzat’ by Sherbet, ‘Reckless’ by Australian Crawl’, and ‘Bow River’ by Cold Chisel. These are amongst the most popular songs on solid rock programmes and karaoke bars. On Disc 2 listen out for ‘I Got You’ by Split Enz, and ‘Under The Milky Way’ by The Church. Six bonus tracks appear, and they are classed as classic gimmick songs and used in advertising quite a deal. Sporting flavoured songs include “C’mon Aussie C’mon – for the Australian cricket team in World Series Cricket in 1978 – and “Up There Cazaly” – epitomising the great game of Australian Rules football. Good value and good memories.
