Synonymous with the international festival, The Big Chill, is its dynamic founder, Pete Lawrence. Known as a DJ, Pete Lawrence’s inspiration goes much deeper than house music and electronica. He has a strong connection with the folk music of his childhood by artists such as Airport Convention and Bob Dylan. This compilation is a generous one of twenty tracks. For those that were there when folk music had its day, this is a genuine trip down memory lane. For those that were too young to be there, unless you happen to have a passion for folk music, I don’t think this is one you will easily get into. But two thumbs up to Pete Lawrence and AJ for their eclectic taste, which has brought about some fantastic chill out compilations.
