:: Grey's Anatomy - Original Soundtrack

Grey's Anatomy

Having never seen the show, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of indie music found on this commercial television show‘s soundtrack. Might have to tune in from now on. With a plethora of semi-underground talent, 'Grey's Anatomy’ could be marketed as the indie album of the summer. Like The O.C before it, their target audience will no doubt be familiar with acts The Postal Service, Roisin Murphy - who provides the album‘s highlight with her very catchy, fuzzed-up guitar tune 'Ruby Blue’ - Tegan & Sara, Rilo Kiley (with her great rockin‘ track 'Portions For Foxes’), Maria Taylor, Mike Doughty, Joe Purdy, Inara George and The Radio to name a few. Even our own Ben Lee gets a guernsey with a live version of ‘Catch My Disease’ which is an enjoyable listen in itself. Fifteen tracks of pure, unbridled joy, this album looks set to not only find its way into my CD collection but the hearts and minds of television addicts everywhere.
