From the very successful Top 50 DJ Poll held by www.inthemix.com.au comes a dynamic double album. In a first release of this kind, two talented Australian DJs - Illya (from Sydney) and Boogs (from Melbourne) lend their artistic quality in a first significant release for the pair. Illya has the opportunity to mix Disc 1 and his strong house elements display the energy and catchy nature of his influences. He brings in a couple of friends, including his Tank nightclub mate Toby Neal. He adds value in his collaboration. On Disc 2 Boogs sets his sights on a more understated hardcore sound, focusing the attention on the perennial late-night clubber. It contains zeal and energy and contains some unique vocal sounds, with much variety. Boogs is known for his marathon sets and plays some older material in this set. The respective expertise of both Illya and Boogs is well rewarded in a well-produced release; giving rise to the thought that such Australian DJs should be given more attention and exposure. This double CD should also elevate their status outside of their home territories. An excellent release.
