:: Various Artists - Always TomorrowVarious ArtistsThis is a clever compilation done for those purely with “indie” inclinations, while containing some of the biggest “indie” acts in the world. An excellent 32-track double album explores the indie hits and underrated songs from the past twelve years. Some fine tracks are disguised somewhat but keen indie observers will be aware of the merits of tracks such Mercury Rev’s “Holes”, Gomez’s “Rhythm & Blues Alibi”, and offerings by Massive Attack, Grandaddy, Lush, and Suede. There is plenty of worthwhile material to sift through in the two discs and each one has something of real interest. It’s a fine cross-section of songs that will sit well in the collection. |
