This CD left a lasting impression rather than an initial one. A compilation of remixes and songs from the likes of Tiga, Kid Loco, and Carl Craig, the CD combines techno and dance styles to create a great set of tracks for dance lovers, but didn’t leave me jumping for joy. Track 6 and onward, really set the stage. “Sensuality’ by Vikter Duplaix was smooth and sexy, and Tiga’s remix of Nelly’s ‘Hot In Herre’ is just divine. Other tracks take you into outta space worlds with fragmented vocals, echoes of sound and a clash of beats and rhythms. ‘Black Baby’ starts off with a jazz feel, taking you back into the past, but changes and becomes futuristic and almost spooky. Everything you could possibly think of, in the ways of sound diversity, is included in this CD. Fire engines sirens, disc scratching, relaxing melodies, pianos… and the list goes on. Overall not a bad CD, but then again, being a club hater I could be wrong. So if you think I could be out of line, go ahead and listen to the album yourself!
