This is a whopping action-packed, value-for-money 3-CD compilation of sixty-three tracks that showcase good time party music. Plenty of golden oldies are compiled with some wicked new ones. One of the CDs has a set built around funky and deep house. Some of the early 1990s material (C&C Music Factory, Snap) get a playback while some favourites from the last ten years gladly raise their head. The Sneaker Pimps, so ahead of their time and sadly no longer, bring us the brilliantly seductive “Spin Spin Sugar”, while other worthwhile contributions are from Benny Benassi (Satisfaction) and ATFC (In And Out Of My Life). The dance set is quite heavy and palpitating. There is “Formula” by DJ Visage, “Airwave” by Rank 1, and even N-Trance with “Set You Free”. Olive’s “You’re Not Alone” still has that cool vibe. Then, the R&B set should satisfy the ghetto brigade with Coolio and House Of Pain, a s well as N*E*R*D is brought out alongside the spirited female forms of Mya, Salt ‘n’ Pepa, and Missy Elliott. Good to hear “Sweet Like Chocolate” from Shanks & Bigfoot too. Overall, there’s plenty to savour in a huge package.
