:: Vents - Hard To Kill

Vents

Hailing from Adelaide‘s underground hip hop scene, solo crusader Vents is branching out into his own distinct world, with the release of debut album 'Hard To Kill’. Featuring the lyrical and vocal talents of Suffa from Hilltop Hoods and Sesta from Funkoars, this 15-track album is sure to please. Formerly affiliated with Certified Wise Crew, Vents has combined styles from long-time influences Public Enemy and Rakim, to produce an album which he describes as “aggressive…whilst trying to give people a buzz”, and leave a lasting impression. Another example of all that is great about hip-hop, Vents pushes the issues of politics and wealth into eardrums, with fierce beats and hard-hitting lyrics. Each track explores and incorporates different styles to keep interest flowing as the album progresses. Vents' voice exudes passion for his art, while the beats systematically pump out catchy rhythms. “Hard to Kill” and “Five Minutes to Midnight” are but two standouts in an album full of surprises, and it's well worth a listen.
