:: Victor Stranges - Hello Me To You

Victor Stranges

After just one listen to Victor Stranges’ debut album ‘Hello Me To You’ and you feel a sense of warmth, like it is an album that will go straight onto your favourites list and be played for years to come. This is an amazing album that reminds you just how good music can sound. Victor Stranges and his unique style of music are certainly one of the finds of the year. Stranges teams up with songwriter, Matt Swanton on ‘Morning Star’, a great pop-rock track that consists of an amazing melody. ‘Hello Me To You’ is a catchy track that makes you want to sing out loud while ‘When The Morning Comes’ (as does ‘Not That Bad At All’) returns to the marvelous pop-rock sound that Stranges does so well. ‘Memories’ has a nice 60s feel to it that works really well while the beautiful lyrics of ‘Restoration Blues’ show that it is a song that has been written from the heart… a rarity in modern music. ‘Nineteen Years Ago’ is very Lou Reed-ish while ‘is There Someone To Thank For All Of Us’ is once again sweet pop-rock. ‘The Colour Of You Street Is Gold’ once again shows Stranges ability to write from the heart while ‘Tonight’ is an upbeat foot tapper. The album finishes with ‘You Can’t Buy Happiness’ a song so sweet that you know you are fully justified for falling in love with the album. ‘Hello Me To You’ is an amazing album that has unearthed one of the music finds of the year. Victor Stranges is a talented musician that can hopefully go all the way.
