In what seems to be an ongoing and constant trend, the boys from Westlife are jumping on the band wagon and reviving some old hits of yester-year. Mellow and emotional this version breaks new ground, heralding a new sound for the irresistible Bonnie Tyler smash, "Total Eclipse of the Heart'. From the firery, loud and heart stopping original, Westlife puts a little more soul into this current version with their soothing sounds. Their voices are impeccable, flowing over each other with ease and confidence. The beat is considerably slower, the words almost dragged out so that their meaning is really heard. It contrasts enormously with Tyler's version which is why it is so enjoyable to listen to. It's different and surprising in that respect. The remix on the other hand by the Sunset Strippers, is another story. ..let's not go there…
