White Rose Movement

This UK band, named after the German anti-Nazi resistance movement White Rose, might just have that spark of irresistible charm to have a big year if this new song is any taste of their upcoming album, due early in 2010, some three-four years after their first one. They brought a taste of punk-new wave sounds to earlier work. This new song ‘The Stairs’ is very catchy and well textured but I sense that the band is restraining itself somewhat. Perhaps the album will tell us more. This is still a hooky, endearing number with their usual edge. Can they go the next level with the second album? I'll be interested to find out.
