Melbourne five-piece Wilfred Jackal have been creating their own infectious style of music, that they call ‘Dino-Pop - for a while now, and on the back of a year that saw them open for the likes of Yves Klein Blue, Bertie Blackman, Miami Horror and The Cassette Kids we see the release of their new single ‘Rail’. ‘Rail’ is a very promising track indeed. The first thing you notice is that these guys are willing to try something different to the other thousands of bands out there trying to get noticed. Lead singer Cayle Stephens vocals make this special indeed and after just one listen you’ll be hoping that there is a lot more to come from this young band. The B-Side is ‘Gin Dreams’ , another great track that is set apart from the competition due to some wonderful keyboard playing. Wilfred Jackal is one of the most promising bands to come out of Melbourne in a while… I look forward to hearing more from them in the future.
