It’s an album like this, which really conjures up increasing respect and popularity for country/folk music. Women in Docs, Roz and Chanel, cannot put a foot wrong. The Queensland duo has begun to make its mark in the music industry, playing at major festivals and music industry events all around the world. The band has appeared on stages in China, Germany and the USA, and also successfully toured Australia. ‘Red Wine and Postcards’ their second album is amazing. Each song feels alive, almost as if it has an individual soul. There is heart in each word and each melody. ‘Sail Away’ and ‘Brunswick Street’ are fantastic feel-good tracks. So much so you want to sing along even though you may not know the words! ‘Breathe’ is another is a striking track. A beautiful, sombre ballad, it hits all the right notes and can be listened to over and over again. Then again, every song is great, so no complaints from this end! Go out and support these girls. They truly do make great music.
