Zaza

American pop duo Zaza provide a dreamy, dark set of songs on this EP. It's a new sound to me and they've already received terrific reviews in the States. Together, Jennifer Fraser and Danny Taylor breathe dark, brooding songs though the vocals are garbled. It might take some time to come to grips with Zaza's intentions and style but the two seem very considered in their approach, with interesting lyrics and song structures. I'd like to hear more of them to gauge whether Zaza can continue to generate these hypnotic soundscapes. As a young band there is still much to offer.
