The good-feel funk rhythms, augmented by the use of saxophones, reveal a creative instinct that is quite surprising and inventive. The catchy riffs ensure a good time by singing along with them. One can see their overtones towards B-grade movies. The band’s charctaer of being influenced by gospel and soul, represents a measure of where the Zutons have come in their two-year existence. This is a worthy snapshot and something of which the band can build more fervour.
