:: Celtic Woman - A New Journey: Live at Slane Castle, Ireland

Celtic Woman is the concert by vocalists Chloe, Meav, Lisa, and Orla; fiery fiddler Mairead, and New Zealand vocalist Hayley Westenra. The setting is Slane Castle in Ireland - a picturesque outdoor location - and a place where the likes of the Rolling Stones and U2 have performed.

The castle is all lit up and the Celtic Women are in top form. This was the first appearance of Hayley as a member of the group. It's very enjoyable listening to her sing and she made a worthy addition to this group of extraordinarily gifted women. As well, there is an amazingly young and talented orchestra. Everyone gets into this video. The drummers are incredible. The DVD is very well compiled - you feel like you are there, especially with surround sound. The costumes are colourful, the set wonderful and the music spell-binding.

All up there are six women (five vocalists and a solo fiddler) performing solos, duets, trios, quartets, and quintets on the 25 songs, an eclectic selection sure to include something for every taste. The voices are truly angelic as they perform their way through a selection ranging from pop and new age to Irish Folk songs and classics.

Celtic Woman is charming and, at times, stirring.
