:: Morricone conducts Morricone

Italian great Ennio Morricone has been the master film and television score composer. Over many years his music has been cherished and highly respected. Some of his masterpieces include “Once Upon A Time In America”, “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly”, “Cinema Paradiso”, “The Untouchables”, and many great Italian mini-series, including “The Octopus”.

This special DVD takes us back to October 2004. Ennio Morricone conducts the Munich Radio Orchestra as it performs a series of Morricone classics. The evocative and haunting pieces, which made Ennio a legend, are all there to absorb and enjoy. The concert performance features a full choral choir, and is inter-cut with visual excerpts from Morricone's landmark films. He doesn't over-exert himself in conducting the large orchestra and the concert is broken up into sections - the most notbale being the Sergio Leone one. It's these Leone film scores that really endeared him the music lover. The presentation is classy and the camera work professional.

Morricone remains the world's greatest living film composer, and is highly revered worldwide.
