Victoria’s largest annual free community event, the St Kilda Festival, recently announced the first round of headliners for its music programme. The ever-evolving boutique music festival Playground Weekender is taking over the The Del Rio Resort, just an hour and a half outside Sydney for the sixth consecutive year in 2012. Spanning three days, March 2, 3, and 4, the award winning festival boasts six stages and one of the most excitingly diverse line-ups on Australia’s festival circuit.

More than 100 acts will rock the stages at Moomba Festival next year with the City of Melbourne announcing its biggest musical line up yet. From Friday March 9 to Monday March 12 headliners Josh Pyke and The Panics will be joined by some of Melbourne and Australia’s leading artists to perform over 40 hours of free concerts at Alexandra Gardens and Birrarung Marr.

Carnival of Suburbia features ten days of live music, from March 8-18, at the Caravan Music Club, Oakleigh RSL.
