:: Stereosonic 2010By: Carmine PascuzziNow in its fourth year, Stereosonic is the brainchild of two Australian boutique event companies with the vision to bring the best in ever-popular and new talent to a discerning music crowd. The ethos is simple: Try to provide the best lineup, the best venues, the best experience whilst improving each year at the best possible price. Stereosonic is Australia's electronic music festival and it is back again to help kickstart the summer festival season. 2010 sees Stereosonic move to a new venue in Sydney. Only a 15 minute train ride direct from Central Station, the Showgrounds Main Arena and surrounds has no sound issues, a later closing time, ample parking and easy public transport, it comes with state of the art facilities, plenty of green space and no stage capacity issues. Organisers are excited with the biggest ever capacity for an electronic festival in Sydney. There is also a new venue in Brisbane. Stereosonic is now moving back to the RNA Showgrounds with increased capacity and will utilise a new main stage and multiple areas in this custom built event space. With such a massive line-up in Sydney and Melbourne, organisers have added a second 10,000 capacity stage to cater for the sheer multitude of acts and people. In Melbourne they have opened up another 30% of the Showgrounds space now utilising the entire Melbourne Showgrounds. Stereosonic will continue to aim to deliver the best lineups possible, at the best possible ticket price. Prices have been raised slightly this year to help improve the services to patrons on the day.
