We aim to bring you the news that matters in events and information concerning the Australian and international music scene. Our website contains a Music Wrap (various events and happenings with bands, DJs, and other music issues. There are sections which comprise reviews of CDs and DVDs, live reviews, as well as artist interviews and festival news. A popular feature is the “What's On - national gig guide” section which has a listing of Australian and International artists touring each State. The database can be sorted in various ways. Following the huge announcement that DJ/producer superstars Swedish House Mafia will perform their first ever Australian live shows when they headline the 2012 Future Music Festival, the threesome (DJs Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello) have also revealed that they will release a brand new live album this December. The indie alternative rock quartet Monks of Mellonwah, hailing from Sydney, have been nominated for best indie rock act and best rock act at the 2012 Artists In Music Awards, which takes place Feb 10 at The Key Club in Hollywood, California. The band will be performing at the ceremony. After receiving critical acclaim for their debut EP “Stars are Out” (2010), the Monks have also announced that they are teaming up with renowned engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, RHCP, Soundgarden) and Grammy award winning producer Jeff Bova (Michael Jackson, Billy Joel) for the mixing and mastering of their upcoming 2012 release. The band's new single “Neurogenesis” can be heard at www.monksofmellonwah.com. Zoo Twilights 2012 will kick off a series of events as part of Melbourne Zoo's 150th Anniversary Celebrations. The superb line-up of some of Australia's favourite artists amid the magical setting of the Zoo under the stars should not be missed! Whatever your musical tastes, there's something for everyone at Zoo Twilights this summer. Jessie J meanwhile, has had a busy couple of months, the pop starlet performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, released not only one but two new singles (‘Who You Are’ and ‘Dominos’ which is currently #1 on the Itunes chart) is getting set to rock crowds down under in what is set to be a phenomenal first headline tour!
