:: Candice Alley live at The Vanguard, Newtown, NSW - March 2004

With seven concerts as support act for Enrique Iglesias under her belt, Candice Alley was all revved up for her performance on this night at the Vanguard in Newtown. Performing songs from her album “Colourblind”, Candice’s piano playing and soulful voice pumped out the packed venue.

An hour of passion, song after song, Candice delivered her music professionally, as well as enjoying little chats between songs…this singer was not tongue tied at all!

Opening up with the song ‘My Heaven’, followed by ‘You Will Stay’, ‘Uncertainty’, ;Surfacing‘, 'In My Hands, 'She Dreams, 'Shadow In Me, 'Dream The Day Away, and the chart hit debut single 'Falling’, Candice performed every song as powerfully as possible. Sitting comfortably through most of the gig, Candice got up for an encore with last but not least a cover of the Rolling Stones hit “Wild Horses”. Boy, were those horses fierce!
Delivering her best performance of the night, Candice made this song her own for now.

With this said, I think it's safe enough to say that Candice Alley is well and truly…“Surfacing”.
