By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Young Melbourne singing star Gabriella Cilmi made a fantastic impression in her first Melbourne showcase performance in front of approximately 200 family, friends, media and industry guests at the Toff In Town recently.

With her four-piece band alongside, Gabriella gave a powerful display of sveral songs from her forthcoming “Lessons To Be Learned” album. The No.1 Australian single “Sweet About Me” was obviously a eye-catcher, but she has ready made singles to go, with the catchy deliveries of “Save The Lies”, “Sanctuary” and “Don't Wanna Go To Bed Now”. After a rpatuous applause she returned for a rendition of Justin Timberlake's “Cry Me A River”.

It ended a wonderful introduction to the voice and talent of Gabriella Cilmi. She now moves on to be the special guest for the upcoming James Blunt Australian Tour.
