:: Vanessa Amorosi - Live @ Crown, Melbourne - August 2007

A new look, greater confidence, and a talented band was behind the showcase performance by Vanessa Amorosi at Melbourne's Live @ Crown recently. To a crowd of invited guests, Vanessa showed few nerves as she stepped back into the the music spotlight, after a long break (approximately four years) in developing her new music for the next stage of her career. Much hard work has endured over the past two years as Vanessa has spent time in the United States writing and recording these new tracks.

Vanessa has a new single “Kiss Your Mama”, out September 15, and performed this, as well as several other new numbers including “ Fire”, and “Perfect”, which made good impressions to the audience. She was backed by some capable musicians. The new band includes Marcel Yammouni and Nat Allison on guitars plus four female backing singers.

The new edgy and ferocious sounds complemented Vanessa's vocal strength and we look forward to the release of her album “Somewhere In The Real World”, which will be released on October 13.
