Rising Australian band Wolfmother played a special show on the rooftop of the Oakley building in St.Kilda - Oakley being a leader in the sunglasses and clothing world in Australia. It was an invitation-only gig jointly organised between Oakley, MTV and Modular/Universal Music where fans were able to win tickets by quickly answering a question of where the Wolfmother video had been made.

Oakley organisers were thrilled with the large response. The show had to start 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of 7.30pm due to a storm warning. During the show, the light poles had to be anchored down or held by the technicians as the wind whipped up gusts that let the fans know the storm wasn’t too far off. Nevertheless, Wolfmother belted out a great set leaving the fans hungry for more. As the fans left the building, the heavens opened up, drenching the roadies who were frantically packing all the gear away.
