World renowned DJ and Producer Sebastian Ingrosso made a triumphant return to New York as his headline performance at the Highline Ballroom saw him reunited with long-term Swedish House Mafia collaborator, John Martin.

Fans at the Highline were initially treated to a set from local New Yorker, and friend of Ingrosso, Anthony Attalla, who worked the crowd into the perfect party spirit. Ingrosso then took to the stage at midnight and played a blistering set to a packed out audience, marking the climax of this year’s Miller Music Tour.

A sure-fire highlight of the night was the special appearance from John Martin. He joined Ingrosso on stage to delight fans with an electric performance of new single ‘Reload’, their first time onstage together since the final Swedish House Mafia show in Miami in March.

More than 800 fans gathered round the block from the venue, taking the Highline Ballroom to capacity from early evening. Most were the lucky winners of exclusive Miller Music Tour ticket competitions held in countries all over the globe. Over 200 of the fans had been flown in especially to experience the excitement of New York’s nightlife before the tour highlight of Ingrosso’s headline show.

Ingrosso had been adamant that his fans would be at the heart of the action and, as John Martin joined him onstage, he delivered on his promise. With the crowd jumping, the live video for ‘Reload’ was recorded on the night and is set for release in a few weeks time. ‘Reload’, a collaboration between Sebastian Ingrosso, John Martin and DJ Tommy Trash, is fast becoming one of this summer’s biggest dancefloor anthems. The original video has already hit a massive 2 million views in the space of only one week and the record is receiving massive support at club and national radio around the globe. The single is out now in most countries and has a UK release on July 7.

Speaking backstage immediately after the show, Ingrosso said: “Thank you to Miller for letting me bring my fans and friends to play such an awesome show. To have people from all over the world in one room at this special venue was something really unique and New York City always lives up to its hype as one of the best cities in the world. What an incredible night!”

John Martin added: “It was great to be asked to join Sebastian for the Miller Music Tour show. It’s always great to take to the stage with him but this was extra special. It was awesome to be back in New York and to be playing to such an energetic and appreciative crowd.”

Ingrosso wasn’t the only act to make up the billing for this year’s Miller Music Tour. A host of DJs from around the globe performed over the weekend, including Fanomm, DJ Journey and DJ SRZ. In addition, Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell surprised guests with an impromptu performance at a party on the legendary Capitol Records Rooftop. Borrell was a guest for the party but, halfway through, took to a stage with his band Zazou and led ecstatic fans in a rendition of his best hits as well as new tracks. Later in the weekend, fans were also treated to VIP access at the Governors Ball Music Festival where the line-up featured acts including Kanye West, the XX and the Lumineers.
