:: Angus And Julia Stone's album goes Platinum

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Angus and Julia Stone’s debut album ‘A Book Like This’ has officially reached platinum sales in Australia! The album has so far featured three beautifully crafted singles “The Beast”, “Wasted” and “Just A Boy.” Released just under a year ago, the Stones have quietly been achieving major success.

With a recent national sell out theatre tour of Australia under their belt, the brother and sister duo are busy taking their music to the world. This month they are playing at summer festivals throughout UK/Europe including Holland, Germany and Scotland. They have received rave reviews from their performance at the Big Chill Festival in England last weekend, with The Independent describing them as “Going down like a brief spell of sunshine here, you should watch this space: they have a subtle ethereal touch – especially the exquisite ballad “Just A Boy” …that may sail them into the mainstream.”

Next stop for Angus and Julia will be the US, where they will launch ‘A Book Like This” in September and then follow up with shows in November.
