:: BeXta serves up Mixology 11...with a little help

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

For anyone in the Australian Dance Music scene, the name BeXta is as well known as trance itself. BeXta has dominated the trance scene in Australia for well over a decade now, and has also flown the flag for Australian trance music producers internationally.

BeXta is about to release the 11th installment of her successful mix cd compilation ‘Mixology’. For the first time in the series history, BeXta is collaborating with another DJ - UK's no 1 trance femme fatale Sugar/b]. Sophie is signed to Armin Van Buuren's “Armada” label and is proud to be contributing to the Mixology series. Sophie and BeXta met while on a six week tour of Indonesia last year; their common love of trance led them to stay in touch and eventually come up with the idea to collaborate on Mixology 11. For the first time, the Mixology compilation is an international release, an exciting development for the series.

Sophie Sugar is one of the rising stars of the global trance scene. An established international DJ in her own right and now making waves around the world as a talented and exciting new producer, it is easy to see where this young lady is heading. In 2007, ‘Fallen Too Far’ became a worldwide smash hit after being signed to Armin Van Buuren's trance label Armada. The track received heavy support from the world's A list trance DJs and was featured in top 10 download charts on numerous dance music download websites.

This was followed with ‘Day Seven’, which Armin chose to feature on ‘A State of Trance 2007’, ‘Sense of Connection’ and Sophie‘s very own interpretation of the Art of Trance anthem 'Madagascar’. All tracks were hugely successful, further enhancing Sophie's reputation as an exciting new producer with DJs and fans worldwide.
