:: One of Italy's greatest ever singers to tour Australia in 2008 - Eros Ramazzotti

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

He has sold a staggering 40 million albums in his 24 year career as one of Italy's best singers. Andrew McManus Presents is proud to be able to present, for the first time in Australia, Italy's Number 1 music artist, Eros Ramazzotti - Live in Concert.

In April this year, Eros received the 2008 NIAF Award for promoting the image of Italy and Italian music throughout the world. Previous winners include Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Henry Mancini and Liza Minnelli. The Italian star has done duets with several prestigious artists such as Cher, Tina Turner, Andrea Bocelli, Anastacia, Joe Cocker, Luciano Pavarotti. Steve Vai, Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana, Ricky Martin and the Chieftains.

His performance to 150,000 people at Olympic Stadium in Rome was filmed for his Roma Live DVD. This is the incredible live show we can expect to see in Australia.

After winning the ‘New Act' section of the renowned San Remo Festival in 1984, Eros went on to win the overall competition two years later with his hit “Adesso Tu”. His career really kicked off with style soon after. In the following years Eros became one of Europe's biggest stars with album after album selling in the millions and topping charts, and performing sold out concert tours to millions of fans, inciting a genuine fervour and passion in his loyal fans, not unlike a U2 or Bruce Springsteen. He also records all his records in Spanish, and tours South America's huge stadiums regularly.

Eros Ramazzotti will perform three concerts in Australia:
Sydney’s Acer Arena on October 25
Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on October 29
Perth’s Members Equity Stadium on November 1
