:: Jose Gonzalez contributes original track to ‘Red Dead Redemption’

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Internationally renowned artist José González has contributed an original track ‘Far Away’ to Rockstar Games’ latest smash Red Dead Redemption. ‘Far Away’ is perfectly suited to Red Dead Redemption, set in early 1900’s America, at the end of the cowboy era. The track is first heard when John Marston reaches Mexico, riding horseback along a dusty trail between cascading red cliffs and the San Luis River; definitely one of Red Dead Redemption’s most visually and sonically memorable moments.

You can watch the Swedish star perform the track live from Rockstar Games’ New York rooftop here

Additionally, you can check out the terrific ‘Behind The Scenes’ documentary of the recording and creation of the Red Dead Redemption Soundtrack featuring Bill Elm and Woody Jackson here
