:: New recording from Kate Nash

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Kate Nash has recorded a song with her boyfriend, The Cribs frontman Ryan Jarman, on her new album ‘My Best Friend Is You’. The ‘Mouthwash’ singer has just put the finishing touches to her second album and her lover guests on the secret track which shares its name with the record

She said: “When it comes to music, we both do our own thing. But we are there to encourage one another. I'm quite private when it comes to writing and didn't play anything to Ryan until later on. I got him into rehearsals - he brought his violin and played because my violinist has moved to China.”

Kate, 22, has not ruled out the possibility of recording more tracks with 29-year-old Ryan in the future. She added: “It was really good. It might be nice to work together in the future. We always said we'd like to write a song together, so hopefully we'll find the time at some point.”

‘My Best Friend Is You’ is set to be released in April and the first single is ‘Do Wah Doo’.
