:: Late Nite Access continue to push "do-it-yourself" boundariesBy: Carmine PascuzziMelbourne rock trio Late Nite Access (LNA) continue to rewrite the path for the “do it yourself manual” - self-managed, self -booked… and doing everything in their power to successfully tour the world independently, leaving crowds thirsty for more. In recent times there has not been a truer example of an “independent rock band” to emerge from the Australian rock scene. LNA have been touring nationally and internationally for the past two and a half years. They have performed across the globe to both die-hard and new LNA fans in over six countries, including Britain, Europe, and Canada, most recently to promote their debut album “Kid In A Candy Store”. September sees the band kicking off their fifth international tour. The next few months in the U.S will see LNA finalise a licensing/publishing deal and begin production of their highly anticipated second album. They return to the U.S having gained support from California's biggest rock radio station, KROQ, and New York City's classic rock station Q104.3. The Mayor of Sunset Strip - Rodney Bingenheimer - who has broken some of the biggest bands in the world, including David Bowie and Coldplay, has also taken a shine to their unique brand of rock. Late Nite Access played a killer show in Melbourne recently at the famed Esplanade Hotel (Gershwin Room) to a packed house. Be sure to keep an eye on their Myspace page for future gig details and blogs when they hit the road in late September. |
