:: Midnight Juggernaut gets the international remix treatment

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Following a terrific performance at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival, Midnight Juggernauts are gearing up to release a new EP featuring dazzling remixes of* ‘Into The Galaxy’. Working their magic on the track is inimitable hip hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash; the UK’s Metronomy; French producer Danger; local wonder-kids Architecture in Helsinki; Parisian outfit Chateau Marmont; and New York’s Shychild.

The remixes will be released across the USA, UK, Europe and Japan on August 11, through Institubes via a limited edition 12“, and synchronised with a worldwide release via iTunes, where the Shychild remix will feature as an exclusive bonus track. A limited edition (300 copies) 7” through Isomorph Records, featuring exclusive unreleased material by Midnight Juggernauts, will be released on September 1.

The Into the Galaxy EP release will also coincide with a stunning new video created by international design collective Surface 2 Air, who’ve previously produced clips for Justice Vs Simian, Chromeo, and Black Kids. Filmed in the Pyrenees region of France, the clip is a psychedelic trip featuring Midnight Juggernauts performing amongst breath-taking scenery, while a mysterious lone rider makes his way through the mountain range.

On the festival circuit, Midnight Juggernauts are also gearing up for their debut at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan on Friday, July 25. High up in the mountains of Naeba Ski Resort, the trio will join a smashing festival line-up that includes My Bloody Valentine, Underworld, Mink, The Breeders, Ben Folds, Primal Scream, Kasabian, The Go! Team, CSS, Foals and DJ Mehdi.

With performances still to come at a number of festivals across Europe, including Creamfields, Latitude (England), Electric Picnic (Ireland), and Get Loaded in the Park (England), Midnight Juggernauts are currently enjoying a stack of airplay across the UK on BBC1, BBC2, BBC6, and Xfm. The trio has also recorded features with renowned BBC Radio 1 presenters Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, and Rob Da Bank, as well as Xfm’s Eddy Temple Morris.
