:: The Boat People set for debut album release

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

The Boat People are set to release their sophomore album ‘Chandeliers’ on July 5 through Shock Records. As if a wildly successful UK tour, extensive play on US tastemaker radio station KCRW, winning the CMJ grand prize in March and being the first Brisbane band to sign to Ivy League Publishing wasn’t enough, 2008 is shaping up to be a busy year for Brisbane’s The Boat People.

‘Awkward Orchid Orchard’ is the first single from Chandeliers and has earned The Boat People a multitude of rave reviews and air play on community radio nation wide.

Hot off the heels of their successful ‘Awkward Orchid Orchard’ single launch tour where The Boat People wowed fans in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, be sure to check out The Boat People at a town near you when they hit the road in August.
