:: Voodoo Beach concert series

Voodoo Beach’s rocking summer concert series returns. Bands will perform poolside on Thursdays from May through September at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The first act will be Filter on Thursday, May 27..

Filter is an alternative rock band that blends aggressive ballads and electrical riffs. They are best known for hits “Hey Man Nice Shot” and “Take a Picture.”

Upcoming shows

Thursday, July 8 – Hoobastank
Hoobastank, a post-grunge trio, rocked airwaves with their 2001 breakthrough single “Crawling in the Dark” and shelled out hits shortly after such as “Running Away,” “Reason” and “Out of Control.”

Thursday, August 19 – Crash Kings and Vertical Horizon
Crash Kings is an alternative rock band fairly new to the scene with recent hits “Mountain Man” and “You Got Me.” Vertical Horizon, born in the early 90s, is an alternative band who found success with hits “You’re a God” and “Everything You Want.”

Thursday, September 30 – band to be announced

All shows are scheduled to start at 6.00pm; doors open at 5:30pm

Entrance is free with tickets printed from here
Guests must be 21 years of age or older with valid ID.

Opening acts will be determined by Area 108’s battle-of-the-bands-style Big Break competition.
Dates are June 17, July 29 and September 9.
